I am Brianna Leonard, a graduate of Florida A&M University with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Journalism. I was born in Tallahassee, FL, and raised in a small southern town called Okeechobee, FL.

My passion for journalism first began during the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020. Misinformation on the deadly coronavirus was spreading rapidly on social media.  I wanted to help spread factual information about the sickness and how people could protect themselves, but I didn’t have the tools or knowledge to do so. 

I was already studying Political Science, with no real direction or plans for after graduation. So, I decided to study journalism as well to gather the tools I needed to share correct information with the public.

In my current position as a full-time Digital Content Producer at KKTV, I write multiple news articles daily, some of which have gone national and were reposted on other Gray Media websites. I also produce videos from live newscasts, create social media posts to increase engagement, edit articles for on-air reporters, and digitally anchor livestreams on the website.
